Determine which type of puller is best for getting a hold on the part to be pulled. When certain clearance problems exist, a 3-jaw puller may be the answer.

• The puller must have a reach equal to or larger than the reach dimension of the pulling job
• A puller selected by this method usually will have enough power
• However, when in doubt, select the next largest size
• 2-1/8" reach, 3-1/4" spread
• Max screw size 5/16"-24 x 3-7/8"
